"Be strong and courageous, for you shall give this people possession of the land which I swore to their fathers to give them."
(Joshua 1:6)

Are you allowing fear to hold you back, or are you stepping forward in faith?
For most of us, change is hard. Stepping into the unknown can feel overwhelming, especially when we are leaving behind old patterns, habits, or ways of thinking. Joshua knew this well. After Moses died, the weight of leadership fell on him, and the task before him must have seemed extremely overwhelming. But God didn’t give Joshua a battle plan or an easy road—He gave him a command: Be strong and courageous.
Courage is not the absence of fear—it is choosing to move forward despite our fear. Joshua had to trust that God would be with him every step of the way. The same is true for us. Whether we are overcoming past struggles, stepping into a new season of life, or simply trying to stay on the right path, we need God’s strength to keep going.
The enemy uses fear to keep us stuck—to make us believe we aren’t capable, strong enough, or worthy of new beginnings. But God has called you forward. He has plans for you that are greater than what you have left behind. Remember, your strength does not come from within—it comes from Him.
Wherever you are today, don’t let fear stop you. God is with you, just as He was with Joshua. Be strong. Be courageous. Move forward in faith. Always trusting in Him.
Is fear keeping you from stepping into the life God has for you? What is one step of faith you can take today, trusting in His strength?
Heavenly Father, I know that You are calling me to walk in courage, but sometimes fear holds me back. Help me to trust in Your promises and to move forward even when I feel uncertain. Give me strength to keep going, knowing that You are with me every step of the way. Amen.
