"Jesus said to him (Thomas), ‘Because you have seen Me, have you now believed? Blessed are those who did not see, and yet believed.’"
(John 20:29)

Jesus looked ahead to generations of believers who wouldn’t have the privilege of seeing Him with their eyes. That’s where His words ring in our verse today: “Blessed are those who did not see, and yet believed.”
Faith is not always about having answers. Rather, it’s about trusting the One who holds the answers.
Jesus is speaking directly to you and me. We didn’t walk the roads of Galilee. We didn’t witness the cross or see the empty tomb firsthand. And yet, we believe. Not because of sight, but because of faith that has been freely given by Him. Faith like this is not blind; it’s Spirit-led. It trusts God’s Word, clings to His promises, and hopes in those things that are yet unseen.
For many of us, belief can sometimes feel like a battle. We long to feel something, to see progress, and to have proof that God is working. But Jesus reminds us that there is a special blessing for those who trust Him, even when they don’t yet see the full picture.
Faith is not always about having answers. Rather, it’s about trusting the One who holds the answers. And the reward is real. Jesus blesses those who believe without fully understanding, who cling to Him through doubt, and who say “my Lord and my God” even without physical proof.
Where in your life are you being called to believe without seeing?
Jesus, I may not see You with my eyes, but I believe in You with all my heart. Strengthen my faith when I wrestle with doubt. Help me to walk by faith, not by sight, and to trust in Your promises no matter what I’m going through. In Your name, Amen.
