"For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for a lifetime; Weeping may last for the night, but a shout of joy comes in the morning."
(Psalm 30:5)

Are you holding onto hope, even in your darkest moments?
Life is filled with seasons of sorrow, struggle, and uncertainty. As we seek to grow and recover from our past ailments, we often experience setbacks, pain from our past, and moments of deep discouragement. Psalm 30:5 reminds us that while hardship may last for a time, God’s favor is greater, and His joy will come.
Weeping may endure through the night, but the night is not forever. The darkness of addiction, loss, or failure does not define us. God promises that morning will come, bringing renewal, restoration, and joy. His love and grace outlast our struggles, and His favor is upon us for eternity.
This verse teaches us to hold onto hope even when life feels overwhelming. No matter what you are facing today, God’s light is on the horizon. The pain of today is temporary, but His joy is eternal. Trust that He is working, even in the darkness, and that His mercies are new every morning.
What challenges or sorrows feel overwhelming in your life right now? How can you trust in God's promise that joy is coming?
Lord, thank You for the promise that my sorrow is not forever. Help me to trust that, even in the darkest nights, Your joy is coming. Strengthen me to endure with faith, knowing that Your love and favor will sustain me. Thank You for Your mercy that is new every morning. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
