"These things I have spoken to you so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world."
(John 16:33)

Are you letting life’s struggles steal your peace, or are you trusting in Jesus’ victory?
Jesus never promised a trouble-free life, but He did promise peace. In today’s verse, He reminds us that tribulation is inevitable, but fear is not. The world brings trials: pain, struggles, setbacks, and moments when we feel like giving up. But in those moments, Jesus invites us to take courage.
Why? Because He has already overcome. The battle is not ours to fight alone. No matter what we are facing: temptations, fears, disappointments, or struggles, Jesus has already won the victory. That means our peace doesn’t come from perfect circumstances but from knowing that He is greater than anything we face.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, remember that peace is not found in the absence of trouble; it is found in the presence of Jesus. He sees you, He walks with you, and He has already secured your victory. Take courage. You are not alone.
Are you allowing life’s difficulties to steal your peace? How can you rest in the truth that Jesus has already overcome?
Heavenly Father, I confess that sometimes I let fear and worry take over. But today, I choose to rest in Your peace. Thank You for overcoming the world and for reminding me that I don’t have to face my struggles alone. Fill me with courage and help me to trust in You completely. Amen.
